Man Seriously Injured in Paramotor Crash

(West Harrison, IN) – An unidentified man was seriously injured in a paramotor (powered parachute) crash at the Tri-State Soccer Complex along State Street in West Harrison Wednesday night.

Indiana State Police say first responders arriving on the scene around 8:30 p.m. located a 38-year-old man from Ohio who was injured when the aircraft went down.

The investigation, which includes eyewitness video, indicates the pilot lost control of the aircraft and struck the ground and some wires.

The pilot was the lone occupant of the aircraft, and was taken to UC Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

ISP says the investigation is ongoing.
