Janet Susan Kirk, age 68, of Batesville, Indiana, passed at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Born September 30, 1957, in Washington, D.C., she is the daughter of Billy B. and Sonoko Kirk.
Janet was a woman of the world and loved to travel with her family. She was a fan of gardening, her dog’s, and the nature of birds. She was especially fond of international trips and enjoying the wildlife abroad. She let her artistic side show through her watercolor paintings. Janet loved her family and was a friend to all those who knew her.
Janet is survived by her spouse Craig Getty of Batesville, son James Guckian of Batesville; sisters Patty Kirk and Debbie Zehm both of California.
