(Southeastern IN) – A Flood Watch will be in effect late tonight thru late Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service says flash flooding caused by excessive rain is possible.
Excessive runoff may result in the flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone areas.
Forecasters say a warm front will lift north across the Ohio Valley later tonight into Wednesday.
Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will be possible during the period.
Widespread rainfall amounts of up to an inch can be expected with local amounts of two to three inches possible.
Forecasters say people in the watch area, especially those living in areas prone to flooding, should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
You’re urged to monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings.
