
Felix Rosenqvist overtook David Malukas on the final lap to win the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500 heard yesterday on 103.9 FM. It was the closest win in Indy 500 history at .0233 seconds. Rosenqvist took the checkered flag during a seven-lap shootout on the 70th lead change, which is a new Indy 500 record. It’s Rosenqvist’s first win at Indianapolis.
Yesterday afternoon’s scheduled Reds-St. Louis Cardinals’ series finale in downtown Cincinnati was rained out. It will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Monday, August 17 at 1:40 p.m. The Reds open a brief three-game road trip to New York against the Mets this afternoon. First pitch is at 4:10.
