Last night’s Reds game against the St. Louis Cardinals in downtown Cincinnati was rained out and will be made up today as part of a split doubleheader.  Airtime for the first game on 103.9 FM is 12:40 this afternoon. Broadcast time for the nightcap is 6:45.

The Reds yesterday placed third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes on the 10-day injured list with a lumbar bulging disc, retroactive to Thursday, and activated Eugenio Suárez.

The Indiana Fever edged the Golden State Valkyries 90-82 in WNBA action last night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Caitlin Clark, who sat out Wednesday night’s win over Portland with a back injury, returned to the lineup and tossed in a game-high 22 points and dished out nine assists. Aliyah Boston recorded a double double: 20 points and 16 rebounds. And Kelsey Mitchell added 19 points. With the win, the Fever improves to 4-2. The two teams meet again Thursday night in San Francisco.

Josef Newgarden turned in the fastest lap on Carb Day yesterday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The two-time Indy 500 winner had the top lap of 228.342 mph at the final practice before the race. The driver’s meeting and 500 Festival Parade fill today’s agenda before Race Day.
