(Greensburg, IN) – The Decatur County Election Board has voted unanimously to eliminate two of the county’s vote centers.
First Christian Church in Greensburg and the Letts Fire Department were removed by a 3-0 vote.
The board cited the church as having the least number of voters, while the firehouse has internet connection issues.
Board members also said the budget is tight and they need to save the county money, and there have been issues getting poll workers.
The board also voted unanimously to certify the results of the May 5 Primary Election, and discussed the poll worker shortage.
The Decatur County Election Board is made up of Democrat and president Ryan Maddux; Republican Jennifer Sturges, and county clerk Janet Howell.
