Rising Sun nipped visiting South Ripley 4-3 in varsity baseball on Monday evening.
Offensive leaders for the Raiders were:
Ethan Schmaltz – 3 for 4, 2 runs scored, and 2 stolen bases.
Mason McNew – 1 for 4, stolen base, and an RBI.
Shawn Riehle – 1 for 3, run.
Austin Hodge – 1 for 3.
Cam Hodge – 1 for 1.
On the mound, Hodge pitched five innings, gave up nine hits and three runs and struck out two. He did not walk a batter.
Gabe Stone tossed one inning, surrendering one run on two hits with no walks and a strike out.
