Steven Alvin Watkins, age 57, was born in Cincinnati on January 28, 1969. He spent most of his life in the Tri-State area, where he worked in construction and as a welder. A couple of years ago, Steven moved to Batesville, where he found his soulmate and fiancée, Sandra McGuire. Together they enjoyed driving through the countryside and attending local festivals around town. Sandra remained faithfully by his side throughout his courageous battle with a terminal illness over the past several months.
Steven was known as a true jack of all trades, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and willing to give the shirt off his back. He was well liked by the many friends he made throughout his life. Steven cherished his friendships, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was often considered the life of the party.
He is survived by his fiancée, Sandra McGuire. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters.
Burial will take place at Osgood Perseverance Cemetery.
