(Greensburg, IN) – Wolf Theaters showed its last motion picture in Greensburg on Sunday, May 10.
Greensburg/Decatur County Economic Development Director Bryan Robbins says it’s a shame to see Wolf Theaters go after several 26 years of show times in the Tree City.
Changing viewing habits and business models are being cited among the reasons for the closure.
“Heck, I remember back in high school when we were petitioning to try to get a movie theater to Greensburg and such, and it shows you kind of how times have changed and everything,” Robbins said. “But again, we’re going to work with the owner to see if we can’t see another location in town to keep it around.”
As for who is buying the building and property and their plans, Robbins says he’s not sure that he’s at liberty to disclose that information right now.
Wolf Theaters first opened its doors to local moviegoers in September 2000.
