Carrie Van Quicksall, 78, of Lawrenceburg passed away at 12:30 a.m., Sunday, May 10, 2026 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born in Petersburg, Kentucky on June 23, 1947, the daughter of Hurley Quicksall and Bethel Moore Quicksall Strickling. Survivors include one son Mark (Linda) Quicksall of Versailles; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; one brother Eugene Quicksall of Lawrenceburg, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bobby and Clayton Quicksall, and her sister Christina “Teeney” Hussong. Mrs. Quicksall was a 1965 graduate of Lawrenceburg High School and she worked for over 40 years at Frisch’s in Lawrenceburg, retiring at age 62. Her smiling face and kind demeanor were a bright spot in the day for her many regular customers. Carrie enjoyed many trips to the Smokies with her beloved sister Teeney and niece Jo. She loved shopping at Wal-Mart, reading books, and watching her favorite shows like Walker Texas Ranger, NCIS, and Hallmark Christmas movies. She loved spending time with her son Mark and wife Linda, attending family events, and treasured the beach vacations she was able to take with them. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, May 15 at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Justin Noppert officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be on Friday beginning at 5 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Versailles Lions Club in care of the funeral home.
