The Chicago Cubs beat the Reds 3-2 in 10 innings at Wrigley Field in a game heard last night on WRBI. Michael Busch’s single under the glove of Elly De La Cruz in the bottom of the 10th scored Dansby Swanson with the game-winning run for the Cubs. It was the second straight heartbreaking defeat for the Reds, who have dropped five in a row and six of their last seven, and fall to four games behind the Cubs in the National League Central. Reds closer Emilio Pagan exited after throwing one pitch in the bottom of the 9th when he injured his left hamstring. He was taken off the field on a medical cart and was replaced on the mound by Jose Franco. Game three of the series is tonight. Brady Singer makes the start for Cincinnati. He’s 2-2 with a 5.57 earned run average. The Cubs will go with Colin Rea, who is 4-1 with a 4.41 ERA. Coverage begins at 7:10 on 103.9 FM.

The Indiana Pacers will learn what pick they have in the first round of the NBA Draft this weekend. The NBA Draft Lottery is set for Sunday. The Pacers have a 14 percent chance of landing the first overall pick. Washington and Brooklyn also have that same chance. The NBA Draft will be held next month.
