BHS Baseball Knocks Off Lawrenceburg

Batesville topped Lawrenceburg 5-1 in varsity baseball Monday night at the Dawg Pound.

Brayden Maple pitched six scoreless innings of two-hit baseball, striking out four and walking four to get the win.

At the plate, Maple went 1-for-3 and drove in two runs.

Ronan Post, Noah Weigel and Tiago Batta had two hits a piece.

The Bulldogs will be back in action Tuesday afternoon at Columbus East, weather permitting.

In the JV contest, Lawrenceburg outslugged Batesville 10-8.

Edwin Hernandez and Landon Grossman collected two hits a piece to lead the Bulldogs offense.

Hernandez and Drew Nobbe each drove in two runs.

The two teams are scheduled to meet again in Lawrenceburg on Thursday.
