Part of Elrod Area Under Boil Advisory

(Elrod, IN) – A voluntary boil advisory has been issued for certain Hoosier Hills Water Regional Water District customers in the Elrod area.

The advisory is in place through Wednesday in the following places:

  • County Road 625 East between Mallard Road and U.S. 50.
  • East of Elrod, including U.S. 50 and all side roads.
  • South of Elrod but east of Friendship Road.

A boil advisory is a precautionary measure issued by the water utility to alert customers when there is a potential for compromised water quality.

It is recommended that you boil all water used for drinking and for food preparation for two minutes.

Water used for laundry, showering, shaving, and watering grass or plants is safe to use without boiling.
