Mr. George Byron Spencer, age 61 of Vevay, IN.

Mr. George Byron Spencer, age 61, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on June 6, 1964 in Madison, Indiana. He was the son of the late Franklin Lee and Anne C. (Culbertson) Spencer. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 1982 graduate of Switzerland County High School. George was united in marriage on June 26, 1999 to Bonnie Lee Teater in Vevay, Indiana. George and Bonnie shared 27 years together until his death. George was a former certified welder for Enerfab in Cincinnati, Ohio, for several years. He also built numerous Budweiser tanks all over the United States for several years. George was a member of The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers of Ohio. George had a passion for the open road, often seen cruising around town or at the bowling alley in his Camaro or riding his Harley Davidson. He loved classic cars, especially building and restoring them. George also had a deep affection for animals and cherished the time he spent socializing with friends. George passed away at 6:47 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

George is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lee (Teater) Spence of Switzerland County, IN; his daughter, Megan Perkins and her husband, Kyle Shannon of Carrollton, KY; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; and his brother, John Spencer of Charlestown, IN.

He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Lee Spencer, died July 7, 2001; his mother, Anne C. (Culbertson) Spencer, died February 15, 2011; and his son-in-law, Kyle Matthew Perkins, died November 22, 2021.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
