Mrs. Marilyn Janet (Moreillon) Goodner, age 78, of near Fairview, Indiana, entered this life on May 24, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of Rev. Clyde Oliver Moreillon and Vernel Delphia (Wilson) Moreillon. She was a 1965 graduate of Mississinewa High School in Gas City, Indiana. She received her bachelors degree in education in 1969 from Marion College in Marion, Indiana. She later received her master’s degree in education in 1972 from Indiana University South Bend. Marilyn was united in marriage to Denver Rolland Goodner on August 24, 1985 at the East Enterprise Weslyan Church. Marilyn and Rolland shared nearly 41 years of marriage together until her death. Marilyn was a former teacher in New Prairie and in New Carlisle, Indiana, for over 16 years. She was also a former teacher for the Switzerland County Elementary School for over 21 years, retiring in 2007. Marilyn was a member of the East Enterprise Wesleyan Church, where she was treasurer for several years. Marilyn enjoyed sewing, reading, working puzzles, playing Sudoku on her phone, cooking, and reading her Bible. Marilyn passed away with her family and neighbors by her side at 9:17 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2026, at her residence near Fairview, Indiana.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Denver Rolland Goodner of near Fairview, IN and her loving church family and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Oliver Moreillon, died April 12, 2007; her mother, Vernel Delphia (Wilson) Moreillon, died January 23, 1993; and her sister, Mary Leona Moreillon, died December 27, 1945.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the East Enterprise Wesleyan Church, 11716 State Road 250, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
