Duane Lee Bayless, 74 of Westport

Duane Lee Bayless, 74, of Westport, passed away at 11:57 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. He was born on July 29, 1951, in Greensburg, Indiana, the son of Jack and Billie (Minary) Bayless. Duane was a lifelong resident of Westport and was employed at the wastewater sewage plant in Greensburg. He married Brenda Marlene Bayless on May 28, 1976, in Westport. She preceded him in death on April 14, 2016. He was a big fan of bowling. He loved fishing and enjoyed going to the casino. He is survived by his daughter, Jody Ann Myers of Kentucky; his sons, Greg Bayless of Westport, Brock (Kerri) Bayless of Greensburg; Rusty Bayless and Benjamin Bayless both of Westport; three sisters and two brothers and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Brenda; his son, William Earl Cain and his sister, Jackie Hermesch. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor George Willette officiating. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery.
