Kristina Michelle (Bailey) Riddell, age 49, of Lexington, Kentucky, entered this life on December 6, 1976 in Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Reva Jane (Metcalfe) Fliehman. Michelle attended high school in West Harrison, Indiana. She was united in marriage to Christopher “Scott” Riddell on July 13, 1996 in Preble County, Ohio. Michelle was employed with the City of Lexington, Kentucky, in waste management, where she had worked for the past seven years. She enjoyed writing, driving around, going for walks, and spending time outdoors. Michelle loved kayaking, tubing, camping, and swimming, and found peace in being outside. She loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with her kids and grandchildren. Known for her heart of gold, Kristina would do anything for anyone – even give the shirt off her back, no matter the cost to herself. She always put others before herself and looked out for those around her. Michelle was also known for her honesty; she would tell it like it was, even when it wasn’t easy to hear. She will be forever cherished by her family. Kristina passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at her residence in Lexington, Kentucky.
She will be deeply missed by her sons and daughters, Cody Benning of Covington, KY, Christopher Riddell of Union, KY, Chloe Benning of Xenia, OH, Conner Benning of Xenia, OH, and Kate Riddell of Richmond, IN; her grandchildren, Dakota, Nova, Laina, Oaklee, Iverson, Aiden, and Cason; her companion, David “Eric” Jones of Crittenden, KY; her sisters, Tonia “Peanut” Savage of Cincinnati, OH, and Gerrilynn Henderson and her husband, Robert of Warsaw, KY; her step-mother, Cheri Bailey of Richmond, IN; and her other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father; her mother, Reva Jane (Metcalfe) Fliehman, died January 14, 2021; her sister, Angela “Carol” Hardin, died September 26, 2019; and her brother, Jimmie Dee Harden, Jr. died March 16, 2022.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2026, at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2026, at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
