The Batesville 11U Travel Baseball team claimed the title at a local MVP tournament played over the weekend at the Plex.
On Saturday, the team went 2-0 with a 10-3 win in the first game, followed by a 24-1 victory in the second contest.
They continued their momentum on Sunday, winning their first game 10-2 to advance to the championship.
The team capped off a successful weekend by winning the championship game 12-9 and going 4-0 in the weekend tournament.
“Thank you to all the parents, family, and friends who came out to support the team. The team was excited to see all the local support. Congratulations to all the players and coaches on their hard work,” said Batesville 11U coaches in a statement. “The team looks forward to playing many more games this season in Batesville and the surrounding local communities.”
