The Cincinnati Reds got past the Minnesota Twins 2-1 in the series opener in Minneapolis heard last night on WRBI. Eugenio Suarez’s RBI double in the 4th inning plated both of Cincinnati’s runs. Brandon Williamson gave up a run on three hits with four walks and two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. He gets the win and improves his record to 2-1. Emilio Pagan pitched a 1-2-3 9th for his sixth save. Game two of the series is this afternoon. Lefthander Andrew Abbott makes the start for the Reds. He’s 0-2 with a 5.85 ERA. Airtime is 1:40 on 103.9 FM.

Forward Aliyah Boston is signing a four-year, $6.3 million contract extension with the Indiana Fever. The extension gives Boston the richest contract in WNBA history. Boston is a three-time All-Star and is entering her fourth season with the Fever.

IndyCar returns after a three-week hiatus when the cars race through the streets of Long Beach, California tomorrow. Kyle Kirkwood is the Grand Prix of Long Beach defending champ.
