(Ripley County, IN) – A motorcyclist from Milan was killed in a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of State Road 129 and Estelle Road near the Delaware Fire Department on Monday.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation indicated that a Honda Civic driven by Hayley A. Skrezyna was stopped on southbound 129 attempting to make a left turn onto Estelle Road when it was struck in the rear by a Chevrolet Colorado driven by Kenney L. Sizemore.
The impact caused the Civic to go across the northbound lanes of State Road 129 and into the path of a motorcycle operated by John C. Jones, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors in the crash, which is ongoing.
Assisting agencies at the scene were the Delaware Fire Department; Ripley County EMS; Indiana DNR; Indiana State Excise Police; the Osgood Police Department, and the Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team.
