Connersville topped Batesville 181-208 in middle school golf. Rowan Maple shot a 49 to pace BMS.
In a four-way junior high track and field meet, Southwestern won the girls race with 78 points, followed by St. Louis (52), Rising Sun and South Ripley (tied-45), and Milan (seven). Rising Sun took the boys meet with 90, followed by Southwestern (64), South Ripley (48), St. Louis (28), and Milan (18)

It was a busy off day for the Reds when it came to roster moves. Noelvi Marte was demoted to Triple-A Louisville, and outfielder Rece Hinds is being recalled. Marte was batting .138 (4-for-29) with no extra-base hits, no RBIs and 10 strikeouts in 11 games this season. Hinds hit .354 with five home runs in 13 games this year in the minors…The Reds also traded infielder Christian Encarnacion-Strand to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for cash considerations. Encarnacion-Strand was designated for assignment on April 8.
Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton has been dealing with shingles while recovering from a torn right Achilles tendon. Haliburton opened up about his battle on Monday, saying he has gained weight, lost part of an eyebrow, and still feels the aftereffects of the disease. He was diagnosed in February and has undergone a Botox injection and changed his medication multiple times to help manage it.
The Indiana Fever selected three players in the 2026 WNBA Draft: South Carolina guard Raven Johnson at No. 10; Vanderbilt guard Justine Pissott at No. 25, and Alabama guard Jessica Timmons at No. 40. Johnson averaged 6.7 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals over five seasons and set multiple program records at South Carolina. She also won two national titles and previously played with Fever center Aliyah Boston.
