New Pal Walks Off Batesville

New Palestine got past visiting Batesville 2-1 in varsity baseball Saturday on a walk off base on balls.

Pitching was strong for both teams. Bulldog hurlers struck out four while the Dragons set down 12 BHS hitters.

William Huber started for Batesville. He allowed six hits and one run over seven innings, striking out four and walking one.

Huber also drove in the Bulldogs’ lone run of the game with a game-tying RBI single to center field in the top of the 7th inning. He also stole two bases.

Brayden Maple led the BHS offense with two hits in four at bats.

Batesville is back in action on Monday against East Central.
