
(Rushville, IN) – A Rushville man was arrested Thursday afternoon on charges of child exploitation and possession of child sex abuse material.
Indiana State Police say 25-year-old James E. Laird had been under investigation for two months. It started with a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Detectives picked him up at a home near the 1000 block of W. 3rd Street in Rushville around 3 p.m. Thursday.
Laird is charged with three felony counts of child exploitation and eight counts of possession of child sex abuse material.
He’s being held in the Rush County Jail.
ISP received assistance from the Rush County Sheriff’s Office.
