(Brookville, IN) – Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies will be set up in the Brookville United Methodist Church parking lot for a prescription drug take back event next Saturday, April 18 between 11 am and 1 pm.
They’ll collect unwanted, unused and expired medications for safe and proper disposal.
No sharps or liquids will be accepted.
The church is located at 150 E. 8th Street at the corner of 8th and Main.
Organizers say, in addition to accepting old, unused and unwanted prescription meds, you can engage with community partners; participate in giveaways, and enjoy snacks.
The sheriff’s office has partnered with several organizations for the drug take back, including Stayin’ Alive Local Coordinating Council; One Community One Family; the Franklin County Veterans Service Office; the School Care Team, and the Franklin County Health Department.
