Billie Jean Sears, age 97, of Brookville, Indiana passed peacefully from this life into the presence of her Lord on April 4, 2026, with one of her faithful nurses by her side, at Envive Healthcare Center in Brookville where she had resided for several years.
Born November 6, 1928 in Seymour, Indiana she was the only child of the late Leonard & Vesta (Roberts) Davidson. She became wife of Rev. Ralph E. Sears on July 2, 1948, and he preceded her in death on November 23, 1997.
Jean enjoyed being a Baptist preacher’s wife and played piano at his services. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brookville.
Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Mike Holman will officiate the Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. She will then be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
