Linda J. Blake

Linda Jean Blake, age 75, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, at 1:15 am in Greenwood, IN.

Linda was born on January 22, 1951, in Decatur County, Indiana, to her parents, Elmo A. and Dorothy Redelman.

On September 21, 1974, Linda married Ronald “Jack” Blake.  Linda was a hardworking and dedicated woman who most recently worked for Batesville Chrysler before enjoying her well-earned retirement.

Linda’s heart was the fullest when she was surrounded by the simple joys she cherished most—horses, blooming flowers, and tending to her garden. She found comfort and inspiration in reading, especially her beloved Bibles, each one deeply treasured. Linda had a gift for journaling, searching for hidden treasures at garage sales or spending quiet moments in reflection. Above all, she held her family close, and nothing brought her greater happiness than creating lasting memories with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Jennifer (William) Lantz and Emily (Dave) Kissick; her sisters, Diane (Jim) Deiwert, Karen (Steve) Stier, Rita (Chris) Gutman, and Mary Jane (Maurice) Bedel; and her treasured grandchildren, Kennedy Kissick, Blake Kissick, Sydney Lantz, Jack Lantz, and Lyndi Lantz.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald “Jack” Blake; her daughter, Lisa; her parents, Elmo & Dorothy Redelman; her sister, Patricia; and her nieces, Melissa Moffett and Beth Ann Deiwert.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. An additional hour of visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service following at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
