Brayden Maple doubled, scoring one run; Jackson Elston doubled, scoring two runs, and Noah Weigel singled, scoring a run.
Batesville added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Maple grounded out, and Weigel was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.
The Bulldogs added a run in the third when Dane Dudley grounded out, making the score 8-3.
Meyer also got the win on the mound. He gave up three unearned runs and one hit while striking out six and walking three over four innings.
The Bulldogs pounded out 13 hits in the game.
Ronan Post went 3-for-4 at the plate. Dane Dudley and Jackson Elston drove in three runs each for Batesville.
Meyer, Elston, Jackson Peetz, and Noah Weigel added two hits a piece. Dudley and Brayden Maple both added an extra base hit and combined for 4 RBIs.
Maple closed it out on the mound in the final two innings.
The 1-0 Bulldogs will be back action on Saturday against the Walton Verona Bearcats out of Northern Kentucky.
