Mr. Jerry Wayne Moore, age 57, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on May 13, 1968 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late William R. “Butch” Moore and Judith A. “Judy” (Peters) Moore. Jerry was raised near Mt. Sterling, Indiana, and attended Switzerland County High School in Vevay, Indiana. Jerry worked as a union laborer for several years and was later employed by Baker Concrete in Cincinnati, Ohio, for several years. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing pool. He also enjoyed cruising around town with his good friend, Alton Turner. Jerry passed away at 4:20 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Morgan Moore of Jeffersonville, IN; his brother, Christopher “Chris” Moore of near Mt. Sterling, IN; his niece, Hannah Moore; his nephews, Evan Moore, Jason Papucci, and Austin Papucci; his several great-nieces and great-nephews; and his maternal aunt, Jackie Johnston of Erlanger, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. “Butch” Moore and Judith A. “Judy” (Peters) Moore; his infant nephew, Gage Logan Moore; and his grandparents, along with several aunts and uncles.
A memorial visitation gathering will be announced at a later date.
