Eric Jason Wilhelm, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, & uncle, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in West Harrison, Indiana. Born March 18, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Eric and Melodie (née Matson) Wilhelm, he lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and deep love for his family.
Eric served honorably in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operator before building a distinguished career working with industrial machinery and automation control, where his expertise was highly valued. He is survived by his loving wife, Olga Wilhelm (née larutych); their beloved son David Wilhelm; his parents Eric and Melodie Wilhelm; mother-in-law Nina; and his brothers Aaron, and Jacob (wife Geneva); sister-in-law Julia; his nephews Aaron Jr, Alex, Jacob, & niece Heather; his many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Eric will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, humor, and the compassion he shared with all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Saturday, April 4th, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed immediately by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Crisman officiating, at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030. Military honors will be provided by the United States Navy and the Harrison Honor Guard.
