Carolyn Couch, 81, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
Carolyn was born on September 2, 1944, in Wooton, Kentucky, daughter of Bruce and Beulah Vance. She worked in Health care for many years and was known for her caring nature, which also led her to spend time as a caregiver to the elderly.
Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she cherished the most. She loved traveling to Kentucky to visit family, she enjoyed attending concerts and was on a bowling league for many years. She was a big fan of Loretta Lynn and found great joy in music throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Vance; her mother, Beulah Vance; her brother, Clyde Vance; and her sister, Rose Ball.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Mark (Chris) Couch of Moores Hill, Indiana; her grandchildren, Seth, Samuel, and Maggie (Joel) Norman ; her brothers, Bruce (JR) Vance, and David (Darlene) Vance and her sister, Claudette Hendrix; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 pm at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001. Graveside will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ripley Crossing Nursing Home or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
