(St. Leon, IN) – Sixteen members of the East Central FFA Chapter competed earlier this month in the District 12 FFA Leadership Contest, and brought back three first-place finishers, a second-place, and two third-place winners:
- Megan Lutz, 1st place – AG Sales Presentation.
- Tyler Stenger, 1st place – Employment Skills Job Interview.
- Reagan Whitehead, 1st place – Freshman Prepared Public Speaking.
- Ashtyn Galey, 2nd place – Persuasive Essay.
- Gwenevere McConnaughey and Brayslin Widener, 3rd place – Horticulture Science and Landscape Management Demonstration.
Lutz, Stenger and Whitehead advanced to the state competition at the Indiana FFA State Convention in June.
Contests included several categories of demonstrations, multiple public speaking events, and quiz bowls.
Members were evaluated and scored by several judges.
