(Dillsboro, IN) – The Dillsboro Volunteer Fire Department received mutual aid from Friendship in battling a brush fire on Saturday.
It broke out shortly before 5:30 pm on Sangamaw Road.
The fire was quickly put out but not before some grassed was scorched (pictured).
There were no injuries reported.
Both Saturday and Sunday were sunny, warm and dry days, which means some property owners get the urge to get rid of brush.
“Please be diligent if you feel the urge to do some spring cleaning and burn some brush,” wrote the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department in a statement. “Happy to help our brothers in Dillsboro. Be safe out there!”
