The Cincinnati Reds topped the Chicago Cubs 8-6 in Cactus League baseball in Mesa heard last night on WRBI. The Reds entertain the Chicago White Sox tonight in Goodyear. We’ll have it on 103.9 FM starting at 8:50 if the Hauser Jets aren’t playing in the semi-state championship game.

Purdue walloped Queens 104-71 in NCAA Tournament first round action last night in St. Louis. The Boilermakers Braden Smith became the NCAA all-time assist leader on a dish to Trey Kaufman-Renn in the first half. Smith breaks the record previously held by Bobby Hurley.The senior guard dished out eight assists on the night and led all scorers with 26 points. Purdue will take on Miami of Florida in the second round at 12:10 tomorrow afternoon.

The Indiana Pacers look to snap their franchise-record 15-game losing streak tonight in San Antonio against the Spurs. Tipoff is at 8 p.m.
