(Franklin County, IN) – Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 51-year-old Lloyd Earl Conn following an investigation into alleged violations of Indiana’s violent offender registration requirements.
The sheriff’s office says the investigation began early last month after deputies conducted a routine Indiana Violent Offender Registry compliance check.
During the investigation, they received information that allegedly indicated Conn may not have been in compliance with required registration provisions.
A warrant for Conn’s arrest was submitted by the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office, with probable cause reviewed and approved by the Court.
Conn was subsequently arrested without incident in Blooming Grove Township by Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Brad Lecher.
The reason why Conn was required to meet registration requirements was not disclosed.
He is facing a preliminary charge of Failure to Register as a Violent Offender (Level 6 felony).
Deputy Dylan Enzinger conducted the investigation.
The case has been turned over to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office to determine formal charges.
