
(Indianapolis, IN) – The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) is warning customers about a recent text message impersonating the agency.
These fraudulent messages claim to represent the BMV and include suspicious links (pictured).
Officials want to clarify that these messages are not from the Indiana BMV.
The agency says it does not send SMS text messages about outstanding penalties. Any such message should be considered fraudulent.
You are urged to:
- Ignore these messages.
- Do not click on any links.
- Delete the message immediately.
