
To qualify for the HSR, an individual athlete’s or relay team’s time, height or distance needs to be ranked in the top 24 of the state.
The following Bulldog athletes meet the criteria based on their performance this weekend:
- Jenna Goldsmith-long jump-15’11”-18th in the state.
- Maycee Holtkamp-high jump-5’0″-15th.
- Girls 4 x 800m relay of Bayleigh Demaree, Paige Allgeier, Caitlin Raver and Ava Wade-10:17.20-6th.
- Boys 4 x 800m relay of Cannon Clark, Cash Myers, Levi Essick and Griffin Koester-8:27.55-6th.
- Girls Distance Medley Relay of Caitlin Raver, Bayleigh Demaree, Paige Allgeier and Ava Wade-13:26.43-12th.
The following BHS athletes remain in the top 24 based on previous efforts:
- Ella King-shot put-38’2.75″-8th.
- Girls 4 x 200m relay of Maggie Jelinek, Avi Miller, Maycee Holtkamp and Abby Miller-153.03-23rd.
- Girls 4 x 400m relay of Maycee Holtkamp, Francesca Myers, Bayleigh Demaree and Abby Miller-4:24.81-17th.
- Boys 4 x 400m relay of James Rowland, Cannon Clark, Cash Myers and Griffin Koester-3:33.61-5th.
Coach Lisa Gausman is recognizing other performances against 18 other schools taking part in Friday’s event: :
- Reillee Adams-pole vault (8’0″) – placed 9th.
- Zadiin Small-long jump (18’11.25″) – placed 9th.
- Gavin Britch-60m hurdles (9.06) – placed 8th.
- Boys 4 x 200m relay of Tyler Malone, Noah Davis, Zadiin Small and James Rowland (1:37.51) – placed 9th.
Several personal bests were recorded on Friday among Batesville athletes:

- Avi Miller, Abby Miller, Tyler Malone, Zadiin Small and James Rowland-4 x 200m relay split
- Francesca Myers and Max Walter-4 x 400m relay split
There is one more week of qualification meets to see who will move on to the HSR finals on March 28 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
