Seventh-seeded Purdue upset regular season champ and #1 seed Michigan 80-72 to win the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament championship in Chicago yesterday. The 27-8 Boilermakers won four games in four days to secure the Big Ten’s automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament. Purdue is the #2 seed in the West region, and will meet 15th seed Queens in the first round on Friday in St. Louis.

Kyle Kirkwood took the checkered flag at IndyCar’s street course race in Arlington, Texas yesterday. It’s Kirkwood’s first win on the circuit this year.
