(Washington, D.C.) – The Office of Congresswoman Erin Houchin (IN-09) says submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition are now open.
Each spring, this nationwide high school arts competition is sponsored by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives and provides an opportunity to recognize and encourage artistic talent across the country and within each congressional district.
The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students in Indiana’s Ninth District.
The winning artwork from the district will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
The exhibit in Washington will feature winning pieces from participating districts across the country.
“The Ninth District is home to many talented student artists, and this competition is a wonderful opportunity to showcase their work on a national stage. I encourage interested high school students to participate by contacting our office or visiting our website,” said Rep. Houchin.
The deadline for submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition is Thursday, April 16. Further instructions can be found here.
