(Versailles, IN) – The Ripley County Tourism Bureau is inviting art enthusiasts to join them for the Art in Nature Art Workshops at Versailles State Park this spring.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a beginner, these hands-on workshops provide a great opportunity to explore new creative skills in a natural setting.
This year’s classes include:
- Acrylic Paint Workshop with Debi Black on Monday, April 27 (6-8 p.m.)
- Weaving/Textile Workshop with Judy Dominic on Tuesday, April 28 (6-8 p.m.)
- Mixed Media Resin Workshop with Connie Jenkins on Wednesday, April 29 (6-8 p.m.)
- Intermediate Stained Glass Workshop with Debby Allen on Thursday, April 30 (5-8:30 p.m.)
All workshops will be held at the Recreation Hall at the Group Camp at Versailles State Park from 6-8 p.m., except for the stained glass class, which will be at the Ripley County Tourism office at the Welcome Center located at 220 E. U.S. 50 in Versailles from 5-8:30pm.
You must have successfully completed a stained glass workshop with Debby Allen prior to taking the intermediate class.
Registration opens this Friday, March 13, and class sizes are limited, so you’re urged to sign up early.
To allow everyone an opportunity to participate, you may only sign up for two classes at this time.
To register, contact Terri Trowbridge at ripleycountytourism@gmail.com or call (812) 689-7431.
This year’s workshops are made possible in part by an Operation Round-Up Grant from the Southeastern Indiana REMC and sponsorships from at Friendship State Bank and the Ripley County Community Foundation.
“Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to expand your artistic talents while connecting with others and nature,” organizer said in a statement. “We look forward to seeing you at the park!”
