More Flooding Woes

(Franklin County, IN) – Flooding continues to be a problem, especially in Franklin County.

A Flood Warning is in effect for the county until 2 p.m. Thursday.

Additional heavy rains on top of already saturated ground caused more issues late Wednesday night and into early Thursday.

A number of roads in the county are either water covered or closed, which prompted a Red travel warning to be issued.

The travel status was moved to the Orange Watch status on Thursday morning.

Someone drove into high water late Wednesday night on Pipe Creek Road and had to be rescued. The driver told Franklin County 9-1-1 that water was up to their doors.

Crews were also called overnight to deal with flooded basements throughout the county.

Franklin County Schools were closed with E-Learning for a second straight day on Thursday because of flooded roads.
