(Aurora, IN) _ The Dearborn County Recycling Center is hosting the 14th Annual ReProm Dress Exchange now through May, with extended hours on weekdays from March 16-27 for Spring Break.
Over 1,200 contemporary dresses are available, and are in gently used, like new, or new (with tags) condition.
The formal dress exchange is open to everyone and is not a need-based program or exclusive to Dearborn County residents. Anyone can shop at the ReProm Dress Exchange. It is based on the principle that buying something to wear once is extremely wasteful. The program saves money and reduces waste by reusing items that otherwise would only be used once.
Participants are asked to bring a formal dress in clean, ready-to-wear condition to exchange for a new or gently used dress. Long formal dresses may be exchanged for any dress. Short dresses may only be exchanged for another short dress.

Dresses must be free of any rips, stains, broken zippers, or clasps, and must fit within current formal fashion trends in order to qualify for an exchange.
Participants should be prepared to make a donation in case their dress is not accepted. A minimum donation will be required if you do not have a dress to exchange. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.
Everyone who would like to shop at ReProm must go online or call for an appointment. No walk-ins will be allowed. Appointments are available every Wednesday from 1-6 p.m. Special Spring Break hours during weekdays from March 16 through March 27 will also be available by appointment only. A maximum of two people per appointment will be allowed. Appointments will last for 45 minutes. Every shopper will be limited to one dress, and anyone wanting a dress must come in person. You will not be able to shop for someone else.
Appointments can be scheduled by going online to www.dearborncountyrecycles.com/reprom or by calling (812) 926-9963. The ReProm Formal Dress Exchange is located at the Dearborn County Recycling Center, 10700 Prospect Lane, Aurora, IN 47001.
