(Greensburg, IN) – The Arts & Cultural Council of Decatur County (ACCDC) is among 10 entities around the state to receive a $5,000 grant from the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC).
The local group’s team of ACCDC board member Kate Acra, Erica Gunn representing Visit Greensburg/Decatur County, and local artist Sue Martin attended the in-person IAC Creative Convergence workshop in Fishers last fall and applied for the grant.
Those funds will be used to add murals to the ramps at the Decatur County Skate Park.
In order to have a bigger impact, they plan to start raising funds soon through Patronicity’s CreatINg Places campaign.
IAC’s Creative Convergence program is conducted in partnership with the Indiana Communities Institute at Ball State University’s Miller College of Business, and is designed to allow communities to apply the lessons learned at the workshop to a project that benefits creatives and the community.
