Speed Limit Reduced on U.S. 50 in Aurora

(Aurora, IN) – INDOT is scheduled to reduce the speed limit on U.S. 50 in Aurora on or after Thursday, February 26.

The speed limit will be lowered from 45 mph to 35 mph just west of State Road 350/State Road 56.

The current 45 mph speed limit on U.S. 50 between just west of Locust Street and Stewart Street will permanently remain in place.

The agency says the reduced speed limit is intended to improve safety along U.S. 50.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.

All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
