Kay Alene (Baylor) Bean, 82, of Milan passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, at her home. Kay was born on Monday, May 31, 1943, in Milan; daughter of Charles W. Baylor Jr. and Marie (McKittrick) Baylor. Kay worked as a beautician in Osgood and also worked 30+ years as an office clerk for UPS. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, and watching the birds. She was an avid sports fan and loved the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds. Kay also loved watching Caroline play sports and would always go to her events.
Kay will be missed by her son Kevin (Cynthia) Bean of Moores Hill; daughter Suzette (Ralph) Mathes of Milan; brothers Jack Baylor of Milan and Charles “Charlie” (Vickie) Baylor of Milan; sisters Lennie (Rusty) Lynd of Milan and Cindy McKittrick of Milan; grandchildren Rachel King of Aurora, Michael (Vanessa) King of Aurora, and Kevin Mathes of Milan; and great-grandchildren Alyson King, Michael King, Peyton King, and Grayson King.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents Charles Baylor Jr. and Marie Baylor; sister Charlene Powell; brother-in-law Jerry Powell; and sister-in-law Cathy Baylor.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Kay from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM, Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Bill Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at New Craven Cemetery in Milan. Memorials may be given in honor of Kay to Easter seals or Southeastern Indiana Shrine Club.
