Meanwhile, Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton has been diagnosed with shingles. Coach Rick Carlisle said that Haliburton will be gone from the team for a few weeks. “It’s a very painful thing and he’ll likely be away for at least two or three few weeks,” Carlisle said. Shingles is a skin rash caused by the reactivation of the chickenpox virus. Symptoms include burning, tingling or numbness, and a rash. Carlisle expects Haliburton to make a full recovery. “I’ve talked to him a few times and he’s always in a good mood,” said Carlisle. “He’ll get through it.” Haliburton has been out the entire 2025-26 season due to a torn Achilles tendon he suffered in last year’s NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Pacers currently have the worst record in the Eastern Conference at 15-43.

The Purdue Boilermakers drop one spot to #8 in the latest AP Top 25 College Basketball poll. Duke is the new #1. The Blue Devils occupy the top spot in the men’s rankings for a record 148th time. Arizona is ranked second, followed by Michigan, Iowa State, and Houston to round out the top five.

The Indiana Hoosiers will have a quick chance to bounce back from this weekend’s loss to Purdue when they take on Northwestern tonight at Assembly Hall in Bloomington. Indiana is 8-8 in Big Ten play and 17-10 overall.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish look to knock out the top team in the nation when they host #1 Duke at Joyce Center tonight. The Irish fell to Pitt 73-68 on Saturday. Head coach Micah Shrewsberry says they have to keep growing from this tough season they are having. Notre Dame is 3-11 in ACC action and 12-15 overall.

The Cincinnati Reds play the Kansas City Royals in Cactus League action this afternoon. First pitch in Goodyear, Arizona is at 3:05.

We’re just a couple of days away from the start of the NTT IndyCar Series season. The series will begin the 2026 campaign at St. Petersburg this Sunday.
