Melinda “Jane” Kennedy, 79

Melinda “Jane” Kennedy, 79, of Greensburg, passed away on February 18, 2026. She was born on December 11, 1946, in Greensburg, the daughter of Max and Esther (Gommel) Easley.
Jane was a 1965 graduate of Greensburg Community High School. She married Danny Kennedy on February 14, 1977, and together they shared many loving years of marriage until his passing.
Jane dedicated much of her working life to serving her community. She was employed for 30 years at Backs TV and Appliance and also worked at KB Foods and Sears. She was a past member of the First Christian Church.
Jane found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends. She loved dancing, golfing, and going to the beach, and she treasured every opportunity to be with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Patrick (Shawna) Kennedy; daughter, Danette Kennedy; grandchildren, Mason Kennedy, Chance Patterson, Craig Houk, Jr., Abby Kennedy, and Adam Kennedy; great-grandson, Kannon Kennedy; and brother, Jerry Easley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Danny Kennedy; her son, Rick Kennedy; her sister, Cindy Daley; and her brother, John Easley.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 4:00 pm followed by a reception with memories until 7:00 pm. Josh Smith will be officiating.
