Braun Touts ISP Efforts to Protect Kids From Online Predators

Gov. Mike Braun.

(Statewide) – Indiana’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) has been expanded.

Speaking on Friday’s edition of WRBI’s The Daily Pod, Governor Mike Braun says the team has grown to 520 officers.

“It’s already been responsible for the arrests of hundreds (499) predators, and rescuing 126 kids in ’25 alone,” Gov. Braun said.

The total number of cyber tips received jumped 38% last year in comparison to 2024. There have been a total of 3,1264 investigations.

Already this year, ICAC has received a 29% increase in tips compared to January 2025.

The Governor says the state will continue to build on this success to ensure child predators are held accountable and victims are brought to safety through the efforts of Indiana State Police…

“I want them to do whatever they can within their own ability and latitude and time, and they’re going to be great partners with local law enforcement, as well,” he added.

The ICAC Task Force provides tips for parents with a focus on safe social media practices, parental controls, and how to report abuse.
