Louis N. Sneed, 84, of Dillsboro, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Louis was born on August 5, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Jerry and Mollie (Arnold) Sneed. He worked as a forklift driver for Schenley and later for Diageo. Louis was a Mason and a member of I.O.K. 4 wheelers, where he enjoyed working on and riding in Jeeps and watching friends and family race Jeeps. He loved hosting swap meets at I.O.K. 4 wheelers, attending Gravelrama, and visiting the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan, where he especially enjoyed turtle sundaes. Louis also loved his wiener dogs, Leo and Lilly. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Sneed of Dillsboro; his daughter, Chris (Troy) Dittmer of Burlington, Kentucky; his brother, David (Delilah) Sneed of Dillsboro; his nephew, Nathan (Andrea) Sneed of Dillsboro; his niece, Andrea (Brian) Bornino of West Lafayette; his grandson, Logan Dittmer; and his great nieces and great nephews, Baylor Bornino, Briar Bornino, Gabby Sneed, and Macy Sneed.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Mollie Sneed.
Family and friends may gather in remembrance of Louis from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Filter DeVries Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. Services will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Mike Workman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Louis to Aurora EMS.
