Class 3A #3 and defending state runner-up Greensburg rolled over Batesville 60-37 in girls basketball sectional semifinal action at Franklin County as heard last night on the Sports Voice.  The Pirates’ Claire Larrison tossed in a game-high 22 points while teammate Aly Powers added 19. Molly Gesell led the Bulldogs with 13 points. Batesville ends the season at 12-13. Greensburg takes a 19-6 record into tonight’s Sectional 29 championship game against 8th-ranked and 17-6 Jennings County. Coverage begins at 6:45 on 103.9 FM and the WRBI App.

In other girls sectional semifinals involving area teams, East Central bested Franklin Community 42-35 in 4A play at Columbus East. Natalie Stenger led the 21-3 Trojans with 16 points and 11 rebounds while teammate Lilly Maple chipped in 11 and Audrina Dugan tossed in 10 points. EC plays Columbus North for the Sectional 14 championship tonight…And Tri eliminated North Decatur 44-31 in Class 1A Sectional 59 at Waldron. The Chargers finish the season at 10-13.

Jac-Cen-Del visits Greensburg in boys basketball this afternoon. The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Indiana Pacers 105-99 in NBA action heard last night on the Sports Voice. Andrew Nembhard led the Pacers with 22 points, while Paskal Siakam added 19. The Pacers road trip continues tomorrow when they visit the Toronto Raptors.
