Willard E. Powers, Sr., 75 of Greensburg, passed away at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born on August 25, 1950, in Greensburg, Indiana the son of Willard O. and Edith Fay (Harrison) Powers. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and a 1969 graduate of Sandcreek High School. He was employed as a butcher at Greensburg Meat Locker. He was a member of Greensburg American Legion Post #129, the Eagles Lodge and the Decatur County Conservation Club. Willard enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and spending time with his family and his many grandchildren. Willard married Brenda K. Dyer on October 31, 1970, in Greensburg, and she survives. Other survivors include his daughter, Theresa Stuehrenburg of Greensburg; sons, Willard E. (Kasey) Powers, Jr. of Westport and Brian Eugene Powers of Holton; a brother, Franklin Jack (Iva) Powers of Westport; grandchildren, Corbin Harris, Tyler Richard Powers, Brianna Hunter, Briana Powers, Brady Powers, and Tara Fleenor and his great grandchildren, Everett, McKenna, River, C.J., Xavier and Oakley. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Virgil and Vernon Powers and a sister, Roberta Fay Burton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
